Our Lady Queen of the Missions School is a higher secondary school in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. The school was established on 1 August 1946 by the Congregation of Our Lady of the Missions at 34 Syed Amir Ali Avenue, Kolkata – 700 017 as Secondary school. Higher secondary was added at the Salt Lake campus. The foundation stone of the school at Salt Lake was laid on 9 February 1997 and started functioning in April 2001. It is affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations board.
Our Lady Queen of the Missions School is an English medium School ( ICSE/ISC Level) catering for the upliftment of the girls irrespective of caste, creed and religion. The School is recognized by the Educational Department of Government of West Bengal and is affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination. Bengali and Hindi are taught as Second languages and French as third language. Indian Classical Dances, Music, Art and Physical Training are part of our school curriculum.
Since we consider character formation of each student is of paramount importance, Value Education and lessons on Moral Conduct are integral part of our Educational System. Students may be required to take part in extra – curricular activities such as Debate, Drama, Games, Quiz, Music, Arts and Singing. Participation in activities and practice after the School hours/Saturday /Sunday may be deemed compulsory.
